The solution for anybody using Windows XP Desktop Software is to put a 'fence' around all your desktop icons and a free and easy to use bit of desktop software is the Fences software you can download for free at the Stardock.com site. With just a few clicks of this desktop organizer your icons can be organized by category into individual fences for example downloads, software, folders, pictures, videos, etc. and as far as I have been able to tell there is no limit to the amount of shortcut icons you can put into a fence.
Now your individually headed fences can be re-arranged on your desktop simply by dragging the complete fence to another desktop location or drag the individual icons to a different location.
Another feature of this virtual desktop manager is that each fence can be resized just by dragging the edges in the same way as you would any other window and when you mouse over it a scroll bar will appear.
Conclusion: Having this Virtual Desktop Manager to replace your standard Windows desktop themes is a really cool gadget to have enabling you to put as many shortcuts as you want within easy reach and to easily keep them organised.

Home Beer Making


I first Started Home Beer Making a long time ago, in fact I was still at school when I started making homebrew beer.
There were dozens of different home beer brewing kits available in most of the supermarkets and pharmacy's a the time all of them promising to make the perfect home-brew beer.
My friends and I tried pretty much all of them. Some of the results were disastrous to say the least but as buying homebrew beer making kits was the easiest way for us under-age drinkers to get alcohol. We persevered until eventually the sediment full, murky river-water type brew that we produced (and got sick on) gradually became clearer and less vomit inducing.
Home beer making became more than just a means to get outrageously drunk and gradually became an enjoyable hobby and we learnt that homemade beer did'nt have to taste vile and we began to take pride in the quality of home brew beer.
We even started to buy some equipment; syphoning tubes, bottle labels, bottle tops, hydrometers and various other bits and pieces, even managing to get hold of a couple of kegs so we could have party's with beer on tap rather than having to mess about opening bottles.
We had come of age and people began to know they could come to our party's and have a good few pints of reasonable quality homemade beer without getting sick, it still was'nt as good as commercially brewed beer but it was pretty good, got you drunk, tasted reasonable and best of all it cost next to nothing to produce when compared to what you have to pay at the pub.
If only we had, had the information then that is available now. There are hundreds of books, courses and video's available that enable even the complete beginner to produce excellent Home Brew Beer that not only rivals but surpases many of the beers available commercially and with the current economic climate and high cost of going out to drink in the pubs and clubs there has never been a better time to try your hand at home beer making.

How To Write Effective E-Mails


The first step in writing effective emails and newsletters is to get them opened. Just because people have subscribed to your mailing list does not guarantee they are going to open every email or newsletter you send them. To make your emails and newsletters effective you must start with a subject line that is going to grab the readers attention and the simplest way to do this is in the way you use your text and the words that you use.

Think of your subject line like a newspaper headline, go to your newsagents and browse the headlines, that should give you some ideas of how to grab a readers attention.
Of course E-Mail marketing is now even more competitive than newspaper sales so you have to be even more creative.
The creative use of symbols and white space when composing your email subject line will make you more noticeable than your competitors.

Self Promotion




Being the shy and retiring type I don't usually go much for self promotion but as the
man said; "My only real fault is my excessive modesty" so I decided to start working
on that one fault and make an Animoto Video promoting Glynn Sole.
Yes I know it's strange for me to talk about Glynn Sole in the third person but you see part
of the self promotion is to get this page found on the search engines and if Glynn Sole
does'nt get a mention Glynn Sole does'nt get found.

Brand New EarnaLot Website

I put this video of my new website up rather than just a simple screenshot so that you could see how the content revolves. Pretty cool is'nt it? This site only took me a couple of hours to build and that includes finding the material to put on it. With a bit of practice and getting organised in advance it could probably have been done in less than an hour, maybe even 30 minutes. Building a web site with Wix.com is incredibly easy and fast and most impotantly for me (me being a tight Yorkshireman) it is absolutely free.

Saving money is the name of the game if you're going to make big profits on your business and I know plenty of ways to help with my marketing that don't cost me a brass button. Now I'm going to go make another site using Yola.com. I've made yola sites before but I don't think any were quite as polished looking as this Wix site so I'm going to try and improve on it. Hopefully you'll let me know what you think.
